I guess this was my [60th] birthday present from all. Tickets for our trip to England. Well it seems like yesterday. I'm taking the picture of Aurora, Henry and Linda in front of our Flat located on Canary Wharf. Looking across at the new Financial District. It was a beautiful spot. The were building the Olympic Stadium a few blocks up-hill from us. We were in London for a week and then ventured north via the “Flying Scotsman” which is the newer version of the train that our grandfather Saunderson was a Fireman on. Nope- not that kind! He shoveled coal into the Steam engine from the second car that had the coal in it. The purpose of the trip was to see London, but more-so to visit with our ten cousins and two great aunts. The next few pages will have some; but not enough explanation. These people were so welcoming to us that we still keep in touch with letters around Christmas an the occasional Email. So all you Saunderson newbies, What you have as family is not only stateside- look across the pond. All these folks have many children who also are blood relatives to you. |
