Henry with my
grandmother's half-sister Celeste Corte. (a.k.a. Aunt Tina). This,
judging from the cake, was taken on Henry's first birthday.
Aunt Tina remained Celeste Corte until the mid-50's when she married Mario Bonino. They were both relatively older, and at that time my aunt decided also to take up driving! They were both retired and moved to Cornwall-on-Hudson NY (near West Point), very close to her brother Virginio, and his wife, Justine. They remained there for a few years until they moved to Crestwood Village, in Whiting, NJ. Soon, the rest of the family would follow. She died of pancreatic cancer in the mid-80's. |
