This is the wedding portrait of Elizabeth Ferrero and Alexander Borella.  They were married for 63 years when he died of pancreatic cancer in 1991. My aunt took sick at my uncles funeral and was never really well again.  She died in 1995 of a stroke.

He had many diverse businesses in his life.

The first I remember was an artificial flower supply shop on Bronxdale Avenue. Then he and his brother, Dan, opened a 100 lane bowling alley, which was the largest in the area at the time. Then, during retirement, they owned "The French Wine Shop", a liquor store on Main Street in New Rochelle, NY.

They lived on Seminole Avenue in the Bronx most of their life, and moved to Crestwood Village, NJ around 1980, following my great-aunt Celestina and her husband Mario Bonino, who moved there from Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY in the late '70s.

Eventually, my parents moved there, as did my great-uncle Anthonio Corte- Tina, Amelia [Grandmother], and Virginio's brother.

Crestwood Village also was the area for my sister-in-law Aurora's parents, Dr. and Mrs Rogati.
