The Buglioli Family Portrait. Around him clockwise from the right: Carolina, Paul, Enis, Louis (Romeo), Mary, and Blandina (Lena). The picture was taken around 1925. Giuseppe Buglioli married Carolina Fracchioni on September 26th, 1909. Their marriage certificate was issued in the U.S. at Chiesa di St. Lucia [St. Lucy's Church] on W. 104th St, Manhattan. Other notable items from the certificate are Giuseppe’s parents listed as Luigi Buglioli and “Blandina” Achilli. Carolina's parents were listed as Giuseppe Fracchioni and Luisa Ferri. Some past reference to Carolina being a “wet nurse” in Italy suggests she may have gone back pregnant. As customary in Italy, the wife goes to the husbands' family to have the children. After this stay, for whatever reason, she returned with Lena in 1912. We have located a manifest and documentation from Ellis Island showing Carolina [listed as Fracchini-Buglioli, age 22] and Blandina [age 1yr, 5mo] arriving on the ship La Savoie out of Le Havre, France on March 30, 1912. See Carolina's Ellis Island Documentation, Blandina's Documentation, and the ship's Manifest for both Carolina and Blandina [lines 16-17] which also gives Giuseppe's address on E.106th St. No other references to related Buglioli's still residing in Italy found as of this date – February 2014.
